Vision
- Department of Psychology envisions preparing students to be significant contributors to both the theoretical and practical domains of psychology, and to produce professionals who serve people at the local, national, and international communities.
Mission
- Mission of the Psychology department is to provide students with a broad exposure to the behavioural sciences with a focus on the statistical and research tools used in contemporary psychological research.
Objectives
- Develop knowledge base in the key concepts, principles and applications of psychology
- Encouraging research-oriented learning of psychological phenomena and engaging in innovative and integrative thinking and problem solving.
- Develop an understanding of how to apply psychological principles in order to improve human experiences Practice effective writing, presentation and communication skills in relation to psychology.
- The department is being equipped with faculty and basic infrastructure like lab, library and digital learning resources to support teaching learning and evaluation.
