Department of Mathematics of St. Joseph’s college, Pilathara (affiliated to Kannur University) came into existence in the year 2014, under the leadership of Prof. Jeseentha Lukka (Retd, Former HOD, Dept. of Mathematics, Sir Syed College, Thaliparamba). She was the Chairperson of Board of Studies (Mathematics -UG) during 2012-2015.

        The post graduation course ( MSc Mathematics ) started in 2022.

       The objective of learning Mathematics at UG level is to understand the foundational principles of Mathematics for advancing individual creativity to contribute to nation building.
