Library is ” The temple of learning “; St. Joseph’s college has well furnished ,ventilated ,lighted and facilitated library named -”Rev. Fr. EJ Thomas SJ Library & Information Centre”. Library is automated with open source software-KOHA and is used for full-fledged online service to its users. The library is housed with wide ranging collection of over 11681 books of various disciplines and different branches of knowledge spread in an area of 1000 sq ft. Library also subscribes 7 Newspapers , 10 Journals and Periodicals which help to enhance the knowledge span of students.

Library Timings
The library is kept open on all working days from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Library will remain closed on all Public Holidays.

Library Rules
All students, Faculty & staff members of the organization are members of the Library.
- While entering the library students should wear the ID cards.
- Footwears should be kept in row outside.
- Personal belongings to be kept in the property counter.
- Use of Mobile Phones will not be allowed inside the Library.
- All persons entering the Library should register themselves in the Entrance Register.
- Strict silence shall be observe within the Library premises. Group Discussion will not be entertained.
- Misbehaviour in the library will lead to serious disciplinary action. Books and chairs should not be misplaced.
- Activities of the users will be under the surveillance of cameras.
- The exchange , Sub-lending or transferring of books between the students will not be allowed.
- No late fee upto 14 days.
- One time renewal of books may be allowed after 2 weeks .
- Rs.1/- per day per book will be charged as late fee.
- Students should return the library books before the start of vacation.
- Transfer Certificate-TC will be issued to outgoing students only after they return the books and Library membership card.
- Library membership card if lost ,Rs.50/.-to be charged for each missed card.

For the loss of books, the following procedure will be followed. :
• If the copies of the book are available with the suppliers, the book has to be replaced with a new one.
• If it is not available for replacement, the value of the lost book will be charged at three times the face value of the books. - The Librarian has the right to call back any book even before the due date.
